FUN-DRAISING for Starlight Children’s Foundation

I impulsively, but happily, signed myself up for the RunDisney Princess Half-Marathon Weekend for my 2nd RunDisney Event ever! This year, I chose to run with Team Starlight. After Reading about their work, the stories of the children and families they have helped, and research told me that this charity is one of the HIGHEST rated with the best use of funds they raise – I knew this was the charity I wanted to represent. Even though the hospital where I work does not often treat children, I know how being in the hospital can be, and to imagine these little people going through that instead of doing kid things is absolutely heartbreaking. BUT Starlight proves that there are ways to make it a better experience. Providing children with gowns that are more “kid-friendly”, toy deliveries, and VR and gaming systems, Starlight makes healing more fun and the impact this has on these kids is absolutely amazing. SO, Help me to keep these kids healing happier
